I don’t typically pack heavy when traveling as I like to be able to be as functional as possible, but there are a few products I have used for years and absolutely swear by.
Before I list them, you should know that I may get a small commission (nothing groundbreaking) if you purchase one of these items through the links below. It is at no extra cost to you. However, for your peace of mind, I’ve added non-affiliate link options as well. As always, thanks for reading! 🙂
Trtl Neck Sleeve
I’m never able to sleep on airplanes primarily because I’m a bobblehead. If I put my head back, it almost always falls forward and wakes me up. The Trtl is awesome as it has a hard piece of plastic inserted into soft material (similar to a neckbrace) that keeps your head from falling in either direction.
Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones
The Bose QC35’s are by far my favorite headphones to travel with. I’ve tried the Apple Airpods, Beats X, you name it. Nothing comes close to the comfort and noise cancelling ability of these headphones…period.
Everlane Modern Commuter Backpack
The Everlane Modern Commuter backpack is without a doubt my favorite all-around backpack. I take this bag to the gym, around town, and with me on the road. It’s sleek, water resistant, and very well made.
I’ve used a lot of backpacks in my days and none of them comes close to this bag. Everlane is not paying me to say this. I just enjoy it that much. I originally found this backpack a few months ago when searching YouTube for good everyday backpacks. This bag came up in a video, I ordered it, and was hooked.

I love to read, but hate to carry paper books. It’s funny because I prefer reading paper books over ebooks, but when I’m traveling I just can’t sacrifice the extra space to lug a larger book around. The Kindle Paperwhite is the best e-reader because it isn’t the ridiculously overpriced and non-necessary top of the line Kindle Oasis, but it isn’t the lowest of the low regular Kindle. The only feature you need is backlight and this device has it.
Duck Island Toiletry Bag
Alright guys, listen to me when I tell you, you need this bag. My girlfriend bought this toiletry bag for me as part of a Bespoke Post subscription and it has lasted me two years already with absolutely no signs of breaking down.
It looks amazing, carries a ton of stuff, and is extremely well built.
Do yourself a favor, buy this toiletry bag and never have to buy another one again.
