Finding American award space on British Airways’ website has historically been reliable. For the past several months, however, BA has been having IT issues which made searching for American flights online somewhat impractical.

To get through this, a decent solution was to keep refreshing and refreshing a gazillion times until space showed up, or didn’t, in which case you had to call British Airways (nightmare scenario).

Great news to share!

It appears (and thanks to Paul at MileNerd for the initial tip) all systems are a GO again. I took a look at some sample flights and it appears everything is showing up just as we expect it to.

BA.com showing the same!

Data points, anyone?

As this is relatively fresh news, curious to know if this is working for everyone and all flights or did I just get lucky? I’d appreciate if you could try your itinerary and drop a comment below with your results. Thanks!

So glad this is working again. I love using British Airways points for short-haul direct flights within the US. They’re excellent to get to Hawaii from the West Coast at just 12.5K per person each way.

Great, this means that checking Cathay inventory is showing up too!

Hey thanks for sharing ! Given the present worldwide financial disturbance, looking for shoddy American airlines cheap flights ticket could be an overwhelming undertaking. As an issue of training the carriers change tolls much of the time in light of load factor and seat accessibility.
