Welcome to The Short Final! For those of you that have read my stuff on Travel Update, I just want to thank you for hanging in there.
TU was my proving ground. I wrote really good posts and really crappy posts – and you loyal readers told me which was which.
I’m so grateful for Travel Update and the BoardingArea team for giving me a shot!
I’ve learned a TON about blogging since I joined TU in 2016 and now look to apply these points here on the Prior2Boarding platform.
Some of the lessons I’ve learned are:
- Be real. Nobody expects you to know everything. Write about what you know and research and write about what you don’t know. This is a journey for all of us.
- Nobody wants to read regurgitation of the same story. Write about a hot topic with a different angle. An angle that adds value.
- Don’t be somebody that you’re not. I’m a business traveler. I’m not someone that can hop on a plane every other day to review business/first class. That’s just not my expertise.
With these lessons in mind, I hope I can bring you great, rich content that will improve your knowledge of travel. What I lack in knowledge I make up for in work ethic. I’ll do the legwork so you don’t have to. I promise.
Welcome again and hope to see you in the comments!
-Dom
Congrats! Already a great find with reporting the AA 10% mile rebate benefit being yanked.
Thanks Stefan! Appreciate the kind words.
