If you’ve been living under a rock, you probably haven’t heard that Delta has been offering ridiculous deals on SkyDongs redemptions.

Did they finally realize SkyMiles suck? Who knows, but we’ll take whatever they can offer.

One of my favorite quotes is from Paul at MileNerd. He attempts to explain this new phenomenon known as SkyMiles Deals:

Imagine if you took your dog out for his daily dump, pulled out your disposal bag, looked down, and saw a gold coin sitting there instead. And then the next day…you go back out and the same thing happens again.

Shit Turning To Gold: The Delta Story

Now for the good stuff…

I looked over the current list of SkyMiles Deals and picked out a few standout stars:

  • Atlanta to Mexico for as low as 32,000 SkyMiles round-trip;
  • Atlanta to Rio de Janeiro for 75,000 SkyMiles round-trip;
  • Boston to Seattle for 15,000 SkyMiles round-trip

Final Word

We don’t know how much longer Delta’s SkyMiles Deals will last and nor do we care. For the time being, we will take advantage of anything and everything that’s given to us…

Oh, would you look at that! Customer goodwill! Consumer attraction! Positive reputational ROI!

Keep it up, Delta 🙂
